Your privacy matters
This Privacy Policy explains how Heyy ("Heyy", "we", "us"), operated by Codepluse, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Heyy you agree to this Policy. Heyy is intended only for users 18 years and older.
1. Information we collect
- Account & profile: phone number, name, gender, date of birth, avatar, bio, city, languages, and interests you choose.
- Location: approximate/precise location (latitude & longitude) to match you with people nearby. You can control this in your device settings.
- Camera & microphone: accessed only during voice/video calls and live rooms you join. We do not record calls except where required for safety moderation.
- Device information: device model, operating system, app version, and a device identifier for security and fraud prevention.
- Payments & earnings: coin purchases, transaction records, and — for creators requesting payouts — UPI ID and PAN, used solely to verify and process withdrawals.
- Safety data: content flagged by our moderation systems, reports, and blocks, retained to keep the community safe.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and match you with other users.
- To enable calls, live rooms, chats, gifts, and coin transactions.
- To keep Heyy safe — including AI-based content moderation, age assurance, and enforcement of our rules.
- To process payments and creator payouts, and to prevent fraud.
- To send you important service notifications.
- To improve and troubleshoot the Service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that power Heyy — real-time calling infrastructure, SMS/OTP delivery, payment processors, and cloud hosting — under contracts that protect your data.
- Other users, limited to the profile details you choose to show.
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect the safety of our users, especially in matters of child safety.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Safety and transaction records may be retained longer where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data except where retention is legally required.
5. Your choices & rights
- Access & update your profile information any time in the app.
- Manage permissions (location, camera, microphone, notifications) in your device settings.
- Block or report any user directly from their profile or a call.
- Delete your account and associated data — see below.
Deleting your account: Open Heyy → Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You may also request deletion by emailing
support@testcode.space from your registered address. We will remove your personal data as described in Section 4.
6. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and encryption of sensitive credentials at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.
7. Children
Heyy is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the Service or collect their data. If we learn that a minor is using Heyy, we remove the account immediately. See our Child Safety Standards.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use of Heyy after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
